Bhagavatam part - 3: the story of Creation of Brahma

    ಕನ್ನಡ  The tale of  Brahma ’s creation: Sanatkumara sages,  Rudra ’s fierce forms,  Manu  and Shatarupa, and the rise of humanity. There, he came across a herd of deer and shot an arrow while pursuing it. An arrow struck a deer. The deer did not perish, though it fell to the ground. No deer in the king's life had ever been shot twice. The deer bolted and ran into the woods. In search of her, King Parikshit disbanded his bodyguards and entered the dense forest alone. He entered a nearby hermitage owned by Sage Shamika, exhausted by hunger and thirst. He noticed the sage sitting with his eyes closed. The thirsty king requested water. But the sage remained silent. The king, who tried and failed several times to wake up the sage, lost his mind and became enraged with the sage...

Bhagavatam part 1: birth of Parikshit

One day, after lighting the  Yajnakunda , finishing the morning duties, and offering the seat of honour to the  Sauti  who had come as guests, Sage Shaunaka asked the Sauti to explain about the incarnations of the Supreme Lord. This Sauti is prominent in narrating mythological stories to sages. His other names are  Ugrasava  and  Suta Goswami . Suta narrates stories to other  rishis .
