Lord Brahma once believed he required Shiva's assistance in his creation process. Goddess Shakti is born as a girl child in the home of his son, Daksha Prajapati, to accomplish this. Sati or Dakshayini was born, the daughter of Daksha and Prasuti.
Lord Brahma had appointed Daksha as the law-keeper of the citizens, which means that Daksha's word is final in legal matters. So he started to think that he was equal to the Trinity.
Daksha has always despised Lord Shiva. "He lacks discipline. There is no decency. If you need to visit him, you must travel to Kailash. He only appears when his believers summon him. He has no regard for elders." thus Daksha's allegation continues indefinitely.
Sati had feelings for Shiva when she got older. She vows that if she marries, it will only be him. As a result, Daksha throws a Swayamvar for her but purposefully excludes Shiva. Aside from that, he constructs an idol of Shiva and keeps it at the palace's gate as a gatekeeper to humiliate him.
But, instead of selecting anybody who came to Swayamvar, Sati walked straight to the palace entrance and garlanded Shiva's idol, suddenly Shiva appeared and accepted her as his consort. Daksha cuts the link between them immediately after this incident.

Daksha once planned to hold a yagya and invite the devatas, but not his daughter Dakshayini or Shiva. Sati, knowing this, decides to stop her husband's and father's wrath by going to the Yagya.
after failing to stop her, Shiva sends some significant Bhuta Ganas with her so she can't travel to the Yagya alone.
Daksha does not glance at Sati's face when she arrives at the Yagya location, even if she is talking to him. When Sati attempts to persuade him to speak, he again accuses Shiva. Dakshayini, unable to bear her husband's humiliation and believing that her life is meaningless, leaps into the flaming yajnakund and sacrifices her life.

The Bhuta Ganas who had accompanied Dakshayini pulled out their weapons and prepared to attack Daksha. Sage Bhrigu, seeing that they are in danger, utilizes his mantra power to create deities called Ribhus and conquer Shiva Ganas in combat. Ganas fled to Kailash after being vanquished.

Maharishi Narada went to Kailash to convey this incident to Lord Shiva and told him what had happened. On hearing the news of his wife's death, Parashiva gritted his teeth in anger, plucked out a lock of his hair, and placed it on the ground. It glowed like fire and a man who looked like a dark demon with fangs was born out of it. He rose to the sky and joined his palms to Lord Shiva. "Give me orders. my father!"
"You are Veerbhadra. Leader of my ghost army. You immediately go to the Daksha's yagya and kill him.” Shiva commanded.
Veerabhadra immediately joined the rest of the Bhuta Ganas and went towards the Yagya site with terrible weapons like tridents and spears. Daksha had a bad omen even before they reached the Yagya location.
Veerabhadra and his companions arrived at the Yagya and cast a spell that caused darkness. The Yagya was destroyed, the pillars were broken, and the devatas were seized. The pots and pans were also shattered. They urinated all over the place. And sealed up the main entrance so no one could escape.
Shivganga named Manimana captured Sage Bhrigu. Virabhadra caught Daksha, pulled out his teeth, cut his head with the sword used for sacrifice, and threw it towards the south of the yagya. Apart from that, sage Bhrigu plucked the beard and moustache and plucked out the eyes of a devata called Bhaga. Then Veerabhadra and the Ganas returned to Kailash after completely burning down the Yagya site.
The devatas and sages who had survived the attack went directly to Brahma. Brahma took them to Kailash to ask Shiva's forgiveness, claiming that not inviting Lord Shiva, one of the trinity, to Yagya was a severe mistake.

The devatas that visited Kailash were amazed by its majesty. It looked to be a realm of illusion. This Kailash mountain was rich in unusual flora, trees, animals, birds, fruits, vegetables, mineral salts, and other natural resources. Waterfalls could be found here and there. Those born here with divine force were known as Gandharvas or Apsaras due to the effect of this extraordinary environment. Sati regularly bathed in the Alaknanda River, which runs through the mountain.
After observing all of this, the gods eventually beheld Shiva seated beneath an eight-hundred-mile-high and six-hundred-mile-wide banyan tree. Brahma and the other devatas approached Shiva. Then Shiva awoke from his trance. "What happened, Lord Brahma?" he inquired. Brahma described what had occurred. After listening to everyone, Shiva said:
"Devatas are childlike; if they want, I forgive them. Attach the head of the goat brought for sacrifice to Daksha if he wishes to come to life. Bhaga has gone blind in both eyes. He needs to see with the assistance of a friend. Pusha, who has lost all his teeth, must now consume only flour. And attach the Bhrigu with a goat's beard." he stated.

A yagya was performed as directed by Shiva under the guidance of Sage Bhrigu. Daksha was given a goat's head at the end of the yagya. He sat up as if he had awoken from a deep slumber. He asked Shiva for forgiveness and began weeping as he remembered his daughter, who had perished in the fire. He eventually calmed down and stood still.
They all proceeded to the site of Yagya, which Veerabhadra had damaged. They cleaned it and resumed the yagya, which had been interrupted halfway. When Daksha repeated the mantra and offered ahuti, Lord Vishnu appeared in the yagna. Everyone bowed to Lord Vishnu.
